Borsch & Beyond is a European specialty food store and café in Murrieta. We bring together unique products from Eastern Europe, authentic deli offerings, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We're growing fast and need a hands-on Marketing & Community Coordinator to help us connect with customers, increase awareness, and keep our store buzzing with life.
Position Overview
This is a part-time, on-site role (20–30 hours/week) with potential to grow into full-time. You'll be responsible for day-to-day marketing execution: managing social media, creating in-store promotions, coordinating events, and keeping our messaging consistent across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage social media (Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Tok): create and post content, stories, reels.
- Update in-store signage, weekly promotions, and "hit of the week" displays.
- Coordinate tastings, events, and seasonal campaigns.
- Prepare weekly email newsletters (sales, new arrivals, back in stock).
- Respond to reviews on Google/Yelp with short, personalized replies.
- Track and report basic metrics: promo sales, social engagement, customer feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Must be local to Murrieta (on-site presence required).
- 1–3 years of marketing, retail, or food industry experience.
- Strong social media skills (Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Tok) and eye for visuals.
- Comfortable with Canva, email marketing tools (Mailchimp/Klaviyo), Shopify basics.
- Strong writing and speaking skills in English, with Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish as a second language preferred.
- Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and consistent.
